Sussex Seamstress Sew-doku

Welcome to Sew-doku! It’s just like Sudoku but themed around sewing. If you know how to play Sudoku already, just scroll down and start playing. If you’ve not played before or are unsure how it works with letters rather than numbers, then here is how to play…

How to Play Sew-doku

First select a sewing themed word from the drop-down list. There are 2 levels of difficulty - easier 4 letter word puzzles, and more challenging 6 letter word puzzles. Both have the same rules.

The puzzle will start by filling in some of the grid with letters from the selected word, you cannot change these letters.

You must now fill in all the blank grid spaces such that the letters from the selected word appear just once in each row, each column, and each sub-grid. For example, if you selected the word DART, then the letters from DART will appear in each row, each column and each sub-grid (the areas outlined in thicker lines).

Use logic to work out which letters must go where. Once you think you have the correct answer, click/tap the “Check Solution” button to see if you are correct.

If you get stuck and can’t solve the puzzle, you can generate a new one by clicking/tapping the “New Board” button.

You can play as many times as you like, and generate as many new puzzles as you like.

Have fun, and don’t forget to check out our latest sewing patterns, which all come with their own tutorial video (or check out out customer reviews).
