About Sussex Seamstress

Sussex Seamstress is about making sewing accessible to as many people as possible. We strive to create easy to sew, practical and wearable clothes. Designing a Sussex Seamstress pattern is not just about the look, its also about the construction, finding ways to create great looking garments that can be put together as easily as possible, using the simplest techniques to achieve the desired end result. Where a slightly more advanced technique is necessary, our tutorial videos provide the clearest way possible to demonstrate what to do and offer practical advice on getting it right.

Our paper patterns are printed on high quality, re-usable paper, and are packaged in sturdy re-usable envelopes. Our PDF patterns are designed such that no trimming of the paper is needed, making constructing the pattern itself far simpler and using less paper. Our video tutorials all contain chapter marks, allowing you to jump instantly to the construction step you need.

If you'd like to know more about my background and where I trained and worked, including Zandra Rhodes Design and the Royal Opera House, then please watch my short "About Us" video below.

Sussex Seamstress patterns have featured on the TV show Sewing Street and are available worldwide as either paper patterns or PDF downloads.
