The Wiston is a timeless summer top with an asymmetric hem and neckline. The buttons on one side add a decorative touch to the asymmetry.
Pair with shorts for high summer or go with a slim trouser and a shrug or cardi on cooler days.
Make up in linen for classic comfort in the heat or use a drapey viscose for a less structured look.

The work-wear inspired look prioritises comfort and utility, but offers lots of scope for creativity and fun. You could go for a classic denim, a breezy linen, or a bold printed canvas. Even a plain denim can be jazzed up with some contrasting patch pockets - dead easy even for a beginner, and that big bib pocket is just begging for a gorgeous print.
The simple tie shoulder straps make adjusting the fit a breeze and add a charming, homemade detail; while more experienced sewers can easily adapt the pattern to whatever hardware details they desire. The Clayton Blouse features a relaxed, airy bodice that balances structure with ease. The standout feature is the Peter Pan collar, which frames the face beautifully. Below the front shoulder yokes, pleats release fullness over the bust for a flattering drape. The Plumpton is a practical, loose fit knee length dress with flattering princess seams, a square neckline and lovely big pockets.
The dress is fitted at the bust and loose over the waist with no zips or fastenings. If you prefer a more fitted waistline you may need to add a zip to the side seam or use a fabric with more stretch so you can still get it over your shoulders.
Make up in a woven fabric with a bit of stretch (3%) for easy dressing. Use denim or wool for Autumn/Winter and pair with tights & boots. Make up in a Bengaline for Spring/Summer and wear with sandals and a cardi.

The Fishbourne is an easy to wear pinafore dress with a flattering square neckline, in seam pockets and a relaxed fit for comfort. It just slips over your head as there are no zips or fastenings.
Make up in a light cotton poplin or lawn for summer. In Autumn/Winter try a needlecord or mid weight denim and wear with a long sleeved T or polo neck. Make up in a woven fabric with some stretch in it if you want a more snug fit.
