Our advanced pattern search lets you select patterns that have or don’t have specific features.

How It Works

Below you’ll find a gallery of sewing patterns and a set of filters. To select a specific type of pattern, e.g. dresses, simply click the tick box next to the “dresses” filter option (you can select multiple at once if you want, e.g. dresses and tops).

To narrow the search down by design features, there are a list of filter buttons labelled “zip”, “buttons”, “collar” and so on. At first none of these are selected, meaning that you have no preference for whether these features are in the pattern or not.

Clicking the “zip” button ONCE will change this filter to “+zip” meaning that the gallery will only show patterns that contain zips. Clicking the button a SECOND time will change the filter to “-zip”, meaning it will only show patterns without zips.

You can make any combination of selections you wish, e.g. “-zip”, “-buttons”, “+v-neck” will show only patterns with a v-neck that do not have zips or buttons.
